I've been seeing lately moderators closing threads that have necroposting on them. IE someone posts to the thread months after it was last commented on.
Why are you doing this???
Anyone bothering to think that maybe newbies need help on a topic. So they forum search for it and find an old thread topic on what they need help with. Their question is still not answered. So they post to that old thread vs making a new thread.
Yet you still close it? Again, why?
As a former forum administrator I see this as a bad habit and should be discontinued. If newbies need help and post to an old thread there is no harm done, and no reason to lock the thread.
PS - Wondering how long before Jack replies, since he/she seems to be trolling all the topics/posts lately.
