Frostbite Bug

If a character casts a skill, and then receives frostbite whilst carrying out that attack, they then take damage from frostbite for that turn.

IE: Igorok has his Frostbite Taunt active. Torchy casts Fiery Fangs and receives Frostbite. Torchy then takes frostbite damage for having cast a skill whilst having frostbite.

I'm preeeetty sure it shouldn't be that way, right? Fortunately, it's a quick fix. Instead of checking if a character cast a skill and has frostbite, you cache whether or not they have frostbite before launching their attack, and then read from that cached value to determine if they should take frostbite damage!

This is intended. Frostbite can be nasty!

    Another potential bug...
Are epic procs supposed to trigger the life loss from frostbite?
Is an epic proc supposed to count as the “use an ability”?
Just curious, not mad or anything if that’s how it’s meant to work, just got surprised is all 😊

Epic attacks should not trigger life loss from Frostbite.

@Joel Wait a second here. Maybe I misunderstood what the OP said. But it seems like you are having Frostbite double dip here. How can a person take damage from Frostbite before actually being Frostbitten? In the scenario above Torchy didn't get Frostbitten until after he casts Fiery Fangs. Now once he is Frostbitten the very next ability or spell he cast he should take damage but not before.

Frostbite has always worked this way, and this particular interaction only comes into play in a few scenarios. It's meant to be very powerful.

So basically you have an ability that can time travel. You do realize that the BBC has a lock on Time Traveling characters? But maybe in this case you can avoid being sued for IP infringement because Frostbite is spell/ability and not a person.

But seriously how is this fair?
