Best use of energy runes

Who are the best heroes for energy runes? I already know about Emily (2 runes for cleansing wave) and Shade (1 rune for spirit link).

Who else?

    If you use lily, getting to her dodge ability early is helpful.

    If you like assassins, getting sifu’s 2nd ability off the bat can be huge.
  • Also on Shade. His second ability is easily his most OP.

    Agnon needs 1 energy rune to have an ability ready in first 4 rounds. 2 energy runes will let him use hardened assault in first round and basically stay granite for first 2 rounds.

    Ferno needs 2 energy runes to get aerial assault in round 2.
  • @Skip_Holmes - When you say Sifu's second ability, do you mean his actual second ability overall (feet of fury) or his second "special" ability (e.g., the third ability overall; warrior's chi)?

    @SeasideStorm - Same type of question. Are you referring to Shade's second ability overall (haunted past) or second "special" ability/third ability overall (spirit link)?

    @PugsOfWar If someone says "Second Ability", especially in the context of extra energy, it always means second special ability. Otherwise they say "Basic Attack", hope that helps.

  • Hopper with 2 can dodge double bite turn 1. 4energy can steal buffs turn1. Ekko with 1 can lighting after plus 2ing. Zomm with 1 can go into boost mode turn 2. Kai with 1 allows him to use his 2nd n 3rd move turn 2 with 1water ally. Ember with 1energy opens up her turn 2. Shade with 4can possess turn 1. That's pretty much the ones not mentioned also maybe valkin but his epic is nice too lol

    Malice with 2 can get her second ability off which basically turns her into agnon 2.0 since it's damage is based off of enemy total health, like jumper said Kai but with 2 and another water hero unlocks all of his abilities turn one, ignus with 2 let's him steal buffs and lower energy turn 1 (but who uses him?), nim with 2 let's her purge (but again who uses her?)
